That Sandwhich looked bomb! One day I’ll have to try it. I could never eat that little for breakfast though lol. I’d rather have a filling breakfast than a filling dinner. (For example I had oatmeal (made with milk not water) topped with banana, peanut butter, and cinnamon with a hard boiled egg on the side and plenty of water, all that protein left me full)

@@shannonbillowsfitness I’m sure he means that this isn’t enough food. Or maybe he’s talking about the chocolate? Idk but everyone has their own reason for eating like this.
Sometimes I can’t believe I thought this had merit. Maybe for those who can skip a meal and it reduces overall daily caloric intake. But I’m pretty sure I can eat my daily total calories over two or even one meal per day and “fasting” won’t work.

Sub the bread for organic rice cakes or canyon bread (on the frozen bread aisle) or Carbonaut (my fav choice).

1200 calories a day is like a death wish lol. You can more than double that and still lose weight.
Try this: 1. Quaker protein oatmeal and coffee with light cream 2. Pure protein chocolate shake 30g 3. Chicken breast 4oz / 1/2 sweet potato and a cup of broccoli or green beans 4. 1 cup of Greek Yogurt and 7 strawberries 5. Salad with plain tunafish / balsamic vinaigrette 6. Pure protein shake or protein pudding The type of calories you consume also matter - not a fan of deli ham at all. And steak can be costly… You might want to try Ezekiel bread… or replace it with brown rice or greens.

I'm a 45 year old male and my waist to height ratio is approximately 62.5%. What exercises would target fat loss at the waist?

Agreed!!! It depends on what works best for you. And I honestly have come to the belief that intermittent fasting works as intended, and best, when done in the evening and broken in the morning so it matches better with circadian rhythm, but I need to research it more. For me, my ADHD seems to make my circadian rhythm nonexistent… so apply as you will!
These are quite helpful. I was going to comment regarding the coffee consumption but realized this was three years ago and I’m sure you’ve figured out the gastric concerns by now.

Yeah I think Shannon is more referring to the fat burning part. For other stuff you mentioned, yes there s tone of benefit in fasting but not fat burning tho, he is right. Fat burning has a very very simple formula and it is not really linked to fasting
The benefits of fasting all come back to the benefits of a calorie deficit
that banana by itself is around 100-120 calories, the sugars would make the breakfast atleast more like 250
Of course IF burns more fat. When u eat 6 meals a day....your body ..gut ..has no rest is continuously producing Insulin. Insulin BLOCKS fat burning...so you can never burn your body fat. With IF ..espevially OMAD ( one meal a day)...your glucose reserves stored in your liver are burned off within 8-10 hrs of your fasting...and the body burns body fat for the next 10+ hours ( until yr next eating window).
Lolol are u sure? Your gut gets a rest no? So with that in mind… maybe it is more beneficial?
But then to get the right calories into your body you need to have large meals. That means your guts are overworked
